KEVIN

Kevin Joel Rosa is a student at NYU Tisch’s Undergraduate film school. Born in Puerto Rico, he has always had a passion for making films since he was young and dreamed of attending NYU. He has written, directed, co-produced, and edited various short films outside of school, most recently Your Fault and Insomnia. The latter was a finalist at the Independent Horror Movie Awards and was nominated for best scare and best atmosphere. Typically leaning toward darker subject matter, his work frequently explores character psyche, atmosphere, and underrepresented communities, while also delving into social and cultural commentary. Kevin hopes his films can create a mirror for the audience to see themselves as part of a bigger picture, instilling a feeling of interconnected-ness even through darker stories.
